Plan your workouts using a calendar plan ahead. You should schedule your activities to ensure you can fit them into your busy schedule. Don’t wait around for your busy schedule to change. It won’t. Stay ahead by planning.
Pack your lunch
People are increasingly aware of the dangers associated with modern food. What about ourselves? We are starting to feed better for our children, but what about ourselves? Take care of yourself, moms! Pack a PB&J and apple when packing lunch for your kids. Here’s a list of quick and healthy ideas for lunch.
Use “Burst Training.”
It is the most efficient way to train. This method burns more calories in less time. What busy moms need is this. Instead of explaining further, I decided to show you. I created two workouts for my first DVD MamaBurst ™ At Home Training For Busy Moms. To check them out, click below:
Set your Push-Up P.R.
Have you heard of the P.R.? In fitness terms, it’s a “personal record.” Begin on your knees or toes. Do as many repetitions without stopping as you can. Record the number of repetitions you can do before your muscles fail. It will take you only a few moments to finish, so giving it your best effort is essential. When you’re busy, and lack time, the intensity of your workout will compensate.
Sleep, Sleep, and Sleep
Sleep as much as possible at night. Sleeping six to eight hours a night is essential for mental, physical, and emotional health. We all stay up too late playing with our iPads, so shut your eyes and put them down. You will notice a massive shift in your energy levels, making you more productive.
Set up your “plank a day” P.R.
Planks are my favorite core exercise. Watch your core muscles grow stronger by doing one plank a day. The same as the push-up P.R. This doesn’t require much time! Challenge yourself to improve your performance by going at least a second faster. Every day, I see clients who reach the 5-minute mark when they had never thought they could!
Drink water in AM
Did you know drinking the weight of your body in ounces can increase your metabolism by 30%? Hydration is directly related to metabolic activity, according to studies. Drinking a lot of water in the morning can help you burn fat.
Whole food vitamins are a great way to supplement your diet
According to studies, 90-98% of Americans are deficient in one or more essential vitamins and minerals. Look for a clean multivitamin. Shaklee Vitalizer is the best product available today.
Find Text Support
Text messages can establish accountability with a family member or friend. We encourage this at our Burn Boot Camp Training Facilities, which works! You do not need to be physically together to make this work.
Train with heavy Weights
I believe in maximizing my time. The results from 30 minutes of weight training or 30 minutes of jogging are entirely different. Lifting weights will turn your body into an efficient calorie burner! I promise lifting heavy weights will not turn you into an incredible Hulk. Such a myth!
Motivate yourself
Finding the motivation to be successful with your health and fitness would be best. It’s easy to hear people, and yourself say, “You have lost weight,” but are you motivated to do so? Want to include regular exercise in your daily routine? Do you want to be able to say, “No, thank you,” when someone offers you junk food?
Enjoy sports with your children
Play a “semi-serious” soccer game with your children in the backyard! It should be fun, but you should also get up and move. I loved playing basketball in the backyard with my father. Create memories with your kids and burn calories all at once.
Seek guidance
Find someone who can help you. Fitness professionals can provide the resources, tools, and guidance needed to achieve your goals. I am always open to free advice. If I don’t have the answer, I will find someone who can! – devan@burnbootcamp.com
Investing in your health is a wise investment
You’re more likely to achieve your goals if you make a monthly financial commitment to fitness. Join a gym or hire a trainer. You can also join a fitness group, buy personal development books, or become a fitness club member. You must educate yourself if you want to stay healthy. Knowledge is the best form of accountability.
Love yourself
Remember, you are the best mother in the world and have the most wonderful kids! Be who you want your children to be, and enjoy every moment of this one life. You may sometimes put yourself last due to the many other responsibilities in your life. But remember, number one!
Don’t eat the food your children ate.
There’s a good reason why the cereal box features a cartoon of a tiger. Certain things are not for you to eat. Keep something you like on the counter if you are prone to eating off their plate.
Stroller Rolling
Strap the kids into the stroller, and let’s roll! It’s not just fun for your kids to run with you because they can “go fast,” but it’s also a great way to get fit! Watch how many times they want to run!
Say “no to lunch at the office
Social eating is responsible for half of the obesity epidemic. You can tell your coworkers that you’re trying to be healthy. They will respect this, even if the jokes are made. They will eventually follow your example.
Play “tag” with your family
Chase them outside! The kids love to play tag with their parents. Tag is a great way to get your family moving and burn calories.
Jump Rope
Grab a rope skippy if you want a great workout but don’t know how! Only 12 minutes of jumping rope per day can significantly impact your cardiovascular system and muscles. Practice makes perfect, even if you could be a better jump roper.
